About
An independent resource hub for modern web creators
Smart Web Center is being rebuilt as an independent resource hub for modern web creators. It gathers practical web design resources in one calm, jargon-free place.
What Smart Web Center is
Smart Web Center is an independent editorial resource. It helps designers, makers and small teams find practical web design resources without wading through hype, paywalls or endless “ultimate” lists. The aim is simple: gather the genuinely useful parts of web design — backgrounds, UI fundamentals, tools and workflows — and explain them clearly.
The project is being rebuilt as an independent resource hub for modern web creators. Rather than chasing scale, it grows page by page, with each guide written to stand on its own and to link out only where it genuinely helps the reader. There are no products to buy here and no newsletter to chase — just resources, organised the way working designers actually use them.
How we approach resources
We do not publish paid rankings or fake reviews. When a tool or service is mentioned, it is for information only and does not imply any partnership or endorsement. Where we list options — say, tools to consider for a task — we describe what a category is for and let you trial and decide for yourself. Contrast, accessibility and performance are treated as defaults, not afterthoughts.
Who it is for
The site is written for the people who build the everyday web rather than only the headline-grabbing projects:
- Web designers refining their craft
- Site creators and makers building their own pages
- Freelancers who need dependable references
- Small agencies keeping work consistent
- Entrepreneurs producing their own web materials
If that sounds like you, the guides and UI resources are the best places to start.
Suggestions and resource submissions welcome
Smart Web Center grows with input from its readers. If you have a correction, an idea for a guide, or a resource worth sharing, get in touch.
